Trader Joe's Organic Mini Flour Tortillas

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 2 ingredients to avoid

Trader Joe's Organic Mini Flour Tortillas scores 50/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Trader Joe's Organic Mini Flour Tortillas lists 16 ingredients, starting with Organic Wheat Flour, Water, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Palm Oil and Organic Cultured Wheat Flour. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 50/100 Trader Joe's Organic Mini Flour Tortillas lands mid-scale — below the typical score in tortillas & wraps, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in tortillas & wraps is El Milagro Corn Tortillas at 99/100.
