ORGANIC MICROWAVE POPCORN

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 2 ingredients to avoid

Orville Redenbacher's ORGANIC MICROWAVE POPCORN scores 67/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Orville Redenbacher's ORGANIC MICROWAVE POPCORN lists 5 ingredients, starting with Organic Yellow Popcorn, Organic Palm Oil, Salt, Organic Butter Flavor and Organic Annatto. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 67/100 Orville Redenbacher's ORGANIC MICROWAVE POPCORN lands mid-scale — below the typical score in popcorn, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in popcorn is Lesser Evil Organic Popcorn Himalayan Pink Salt at 100/100.
