Kroger Vegetable broth

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 2 ingredients to avoid

Kroger Vegetable broth scores 68/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Kroger Vegetable broth lists 9 ingredients, starting with Water, Carrot, Celery, Onion and Salt. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 68/100 Kroger Vegetable broth lands mid-scale — below the typical score in soups & broths, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in soups & broths is Pacific Foods Organic Unsalted Chicken Bone Broth, 3 x 32 oz at 98/100.
