Organic Chicken Stock

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 2 ingredients to avoid

Kirkland Signature Organic Chicken Stock scores 68/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Kirkland Signature Organic Chicken Stock lists 11 ingredients, starting with Organic Chicken Stock, Organic Vegetable Stock, Organic Carrot Juice Concentrate, Organic Celery Root and Organic Onion Juice Concentrate. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 68/100 Kirkland Signature Organic Chicken Stock lands mid-scale — below the typical score in soups & broths, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in soups & broths is Pacific Foods Organic Unsalted Chicken Bone Broth, 3 x 32 oz at 98/100.
