Guerrero Tortillas de Maíz Amarillo

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 1 ingredient to avoid

Guerrero Tortillas de Maíz Amarillo scores 41/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Guerrero Tortillas de Maíz Amarillo lists 5 ingredients, starting with Organic Yellow Corn Masa Flour, Water, Less Than 2% of Natural Flavors, Guar Gum, Mono and Diglycerides, Xanthan Gum, Polysorbate 80, Cellulose Gum, Carrageenan, Guar Gum and Benzoic Acid. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 41/100 Guerrero Tortillas de Maíz Amarillo lands mid-scale — below the typical score in tortillas & wraps, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in tortillas & wraps is El Milagro Corn Tortillas at 99/100.
