Contadina pizza sauce

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 1 ingredient to avoid

Contadina pizza sauce scores 69/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Contadina pizza sauce lists 9 ingredients, starting with Water, Salt, Spices, Sugar and Citric Acid. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 69/100 Contadina pizza sauce lands mid-scale — below the typical score in pasta & cooking sauces, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in pasta & cooking sauces is Simply Nature Organic Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce at 100/100.
