Walden Farms Original Recipe Pancake Syrup

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 3 ingredients to avoid

Walden Farms Original Recipe Pancake Syrup scores 50/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Walden Farms Original Recipe Pancake Syrup lists 8 ingredients, starting with Potassium Sorbate, Sucralose, Lactic Acid, Sodium Bisulfate and Guar Gum. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 50/100 Walden Farms Original Recipe Pancake Syrup lands mid-scale — below the typical score in syrups & spreads, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in syrups & spreads is Spring Tree 100% Pure Rich Taste Maple Syrup at 100/100.
