Trader Joe's Coconut Creamer

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 2 ingredients to avoid

Trader Joe's Coconut Creamer scores 61/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Trader Joe's Coconut Creamer lists 10 ingredients, starting with Water, Cane Sugar, Coconut Cream, Potassium Citrate and Sodium Bicarbonate. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 61/100 Trader Joe's Coconut Creamer lands mid-scale — below the typical score in dairy-alternative butter & cream, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in dairy-alternative butter & cream is Forager Project Organic Cinnamon Vanilla Creamer at 100/100.
