Vanilla extra

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 1 ingredient to avoid

President's Choice Vanilla extra scores 44/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

President's Choice Vanilla extra lists 3 ingredients, starting with Water, Alcohol and Vanilla Bean Extractives. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 44/100 President's Choice Vanilla extra lands mid-scale — below the typical score in frozen foods, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in frozen foods is Ore-Ida Original Potato Shreds Shredded Hash Browns at 100/100.
