Breakdown

1 ingredient to avoid

Little Urchin Kids Natural Clear Zinc Sunscreen SPF 50 Soothing Chamomile Hydrating Aloe Vera scores 67/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Little Urchin Kids Natural Clear Zinc Sunscreen SPF 50 Soothing Chamomile Hydrating Aloe Vera lists 14 ingredients, starting with Zinc Oxide, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Coco-caprylate/Caprate and Euphorbia Cerifera Wax. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 67/100 Little Urchin Kids Natural Clear Zinc Sunscreen SPF 50 Soothing Chamomile Hydrating Aloe Vera lands mid-scale — below the typical score in sunscreen, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in sunscreen is Tallow & Zinc Sunscreen at 97/100.
