Natural Creamy Peanut Butter Spread, 16 oz

Breakdown

Processed · 1 ingredient to avoid

Jif Natural Creamy Peanut Butter Spread, 16 oz scores 44/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. Per serving it carries 3g fiber, 7g protein and 4g sugar. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Jif Natural Creamy Peanut Butter Spread, 16 oz lists 5 ingredients, starting with Peanuts, Sugar, Palm Oil, Salt and Molasses. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

190 kcal per serving, or 576 kcal per 100g. Calories are only part of the picture — Tallow scores Jif Natural Creamy Peanut Butter Spread, 16 oz on what the ingredients are, not how many calories they carry.

At 44/100 Jif Natural Creamy Peanut Butter Spread, 16 oz lands mid-scale — below the typical score in nut & seed butters, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in nut & seed butters is Good & Gather Organic Stir Crunchy Peanut Butter at 100/100.
