Habanero Extra Hot Hot Sauce

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 1 ingredient to avoid

Herdez Habanero Extra Hot Hot Sauce scores 69/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Herdez Habanero Extra Hot Hot Sauce lists 12 ingredients, starting with Water, Carrots, Onions, Vinegar and Agave Nectar. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 69/100 Herdez Habanero Extra Hot Hot Sauce lands mid-scale — below the typical score in hot sauce, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in hot sauce is Louisiana Original Hot Sauce at 95/100.
