Grown Alchemist Invigorate Hand Wash

Breakdown

1 ingredient to avoid

Grown Alchemist Invigorate Hand Wash scores 65/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Grown Alchemist Invigorate Hand Wash lists 8 ingredients, starting with Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Algin, Citric Acid, Sodium Gluconate and 1,2-hexanediol. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 65/100 Grown Alchemist Invigorate Hand Wash lands mid-scale — below the typical score in hand soap, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in hand soap is Natural Sense Pure Castile Soap Peppermint at 97/100.
