Elmex Junior Anti-Cavity Toothpaste

Breakdown

2 ingredients to avoid

Elmex Junior Anti-Cavity Toothpaste scores 61/100 on Tallow — our okay band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Elmex Junior Anti-Cavity Toothpaste lists 8 ingredients, starting with Aqua, Hydrated Silica, Sorbitol, Hydroxyethylcellulose and Olaflur. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 61/100 Elmex Junior Anti-Cavity Toothpaste lands mid-scale — below the typical score in toothpaste, but clear of the bottom band. A higher-scoring option in toothpaste is Pepsodent Herbal Fresh Mint Sage Chamomile Myrrh Toothpaste at 100/100.
