Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Truffles

Breakdown

Ultra-processed · 1 ingredient to avoid

Alter Eco Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Truffles scores 80/100 on Tallow — our clean band. That number comes from what is on the label: the ingredients, how processed it is, and what it is packaged in. It is not a verdict on your diet — Tallow does not weigh calories, portion size or how often you eat it, so a high score means the ingredients are clean, not that the food is unlimited.

Alter Eco Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Truffles lists 8 ingredients, starting with Organic Raw Cane Sugar, Organic Cacao Beans, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Cocoa Butter and Organic Whole Milk. Ingredients are listed in descending order by weight, so the first few make up most of what you are eating.

At 80/100 Alter Eco Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Truffles sits in our top band, among the better chocolate we have scored. A higher-scoring option in chocolate is Hu Organic Hazelnut Butter + Hazelnut Crunch Milk Chocolate at 100/100.
