True Food Kitchen is one of the very few chains that says outright it is seed-oil free: its own Our Story page reads "Proudly 100% seed oil-free" and says that since 2022 it cooks exclusively with avocado and olive oil, backed by the company's own 2023 press release. The catch is that it publishes no per-item ingredient statements at all, only calories and an allergen grid, so the additive picture is a judgement call rather than something a guest can check.
Rated 2026-08-26 from True Food Kitchen's own published statements, because they do not publish an ingredient list. Seed oils: truefoodkitchen.com/truestory says verbatim "Proudly 100% seed oil-free" and "In 2022, we switched to cooking exclusively with avocado and olive oils, working tirelessly since to eliminate seed oils from every ingredient." It links the company's own 2023-11-30 press release, subtitled "beginning with the elimination of seed oils from all cooking", in which CEO John Williams is quoted on "our full transition to cooking exclusively with olive and avocado oils." First-party and public, so it is scored at full confidence. What is NOT checkable: True Food publishes calories, macros and an allergen category grid, but no per-item ingredient statements anywhere. So the additive read is a low-confidence judgement, not a verified one. Not in the plasticlist.org dataset.
