Outback is one of the rare chains that still fries in beef tallow rather than a seed oil, stated plainly in their own allergen guide. But the same guide notes that soybean oil is not allergen-labeled, which is a line a kitchen only writes if it uses it, and no ingredient list exists for the butters, dressings or bread, so the rest of the menu is unproven.
Rated 2026-09-02 on seed_oil only, from the intro of Outback's own Top 9 Allergens PDF (Obs-Full-Allergens-Information.pdf, May 2026), which is not linked from their visible nav and only surfaces by grepping the nutrition page for their Sitecore CDN path. Two first-party lines carry the rating. The good one: "Deep fried items are fried in a shared fryer with beef tallow so there is high risk of cross contact." Their fryer is beef tallow, not a seed oil, which is rare - and the grid backs it up, since neither the Bloomin' Onion nor the Aussie Cheese Fries is flagged for soy. The other: "Soybean oil is not labeled as a soy allergen per FDA allergen labeling guidelines." That is a line a kitchen only writes if soybean oil is in use, and it also means the allergen grid cannot answer the seed oil question either way. So the fryer is clean and the rest of the kitchen is unproven. No ingredient statement exists on outback.com or any Bloomin' Brands sibling.
