What the score is made of

Four categories, weighted. Seed oils count three times as much as plastics or ultra-processing, so a poor seed-oil score pulls the overall number down hardest.

  • Seed oil3× weight0
  • Additives2× weight0
  • Plastics0.5× weight
  • NOVA0.5× weight50

Plastics has no ratings yet and count as 0 toward the overall score — an unproven category isn’t a free pass.

What reviewers said

No Little Caesars pizza avoids a seed oil, because all four crusts list soybean oil, and 41 of the 51 components they publish carry an additive. The bread items are the worst of it: the Crazy Bread Spread is soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, mono and diglycerides, sodium benzoate and EDTA.

Little Caesars publishes complete ingredient statements in the back of its US nutrition guide PDF, so this is a full-menu read, not a sample. All four crusts - Classic Round, Thin, Stuffed and Detroit-Style Deep Dish - list soybean oil, so no pizza here avoids a seed oil. The shredded cheese on every pizza carries powdered cellulose, and the Crazy Bread Spread used on Crazy Bread, Stuffed Crazy Bread, both Crazy Puffs, Italian Cheese Bread and Pepperoni Cheese Bread is soybean oil plus hydrogenated soybean oil, mono and diglycerides, sodium benzoate and calcium disodium EDTA. Of the 51 published components, 24 carry a named seed oil and 41 carry an additive - the 10 clean ones are almost all raw toppings like onions and fresh mushrooms. Classic Round Crust is the only crust with no additive.
