Jamba publishes a genuine per-item ingredient list, and it shows the additives rather than the oils are the problem: 78 of 101 items carry at least one, mostly carrageenan, gums and mono and diglycerides arriving through the soymilk and the sherbets. Seed oils are narrower at 34 of 101 and mostly ride in on the granola, and plasticlist.org tested a Jamba smoothie three times and found measurable DEHP in two of them.
Jamba is one of the few chains that publishes a real per-item ingredient statement: their August 2026 nutrition PDF carries a Full Ingredient List column for every item, 101 distinct items once the sizes are collapsed. Seed oils are narrower than you would guess. 34 of the 101 name one, and it is usually the granola, whose canola oil rides into the acai bowls and the parfaits, plus the sandwiches, pretzels, empanadas and the waffle. Canola appears in 25 items, soybean in 12, sunflower in 6. Additives are the real problem here. 78 of 101 items list at least one: carrageenan in 45, guar gum in 41, mono and diglycerides in 38, locust bean gum in 36, tara gum in 31 and annatto in 26. They arrive through the soymilk and the sherbets, which are in most blends. Of the 24 drinks in the main smoothie block only four come out clean of all of it: Apple 'n Greens, Greens 'n Ginger, Peach Perfection and Strawberry Whirl.
