Insomnia bakes in store but from industrially formulated components, and soybean oil turns up in 27 of the 33 ingredient statements they publish, nearly always inside a palm/soybean/olive margarine. Only the plain vanilla and chocolate ice creams and the waffle cone avoid seed oils, and every item on the guide carries at least one additive.
Rated from Insomnia's own 41-page Nutritional Facts Guide, which carries a full ingredient statement for all 33 published items. Soybean oil is in 27 of the 33, almost always inside one margarine blend (palm fruit, soybean and olive oils). The three non-gluten-free vegan cookies swap that margarine for coconut plus sunflower oil, so they are not seed-oil-free either, and the three peanut butter items add hydrogenated cottonseed and canola. Only the Vanilla ice cream, the Chocolate ice cream and the small waffle cone carry no seed oil. Every one of the 33 statements carries at least one additive: soy lecithin in 28, monoglycerides in 25, carrageenan in 11, certified colours in 6, TBHQ and titanium dioxide in 2 each. Nothing on this menu is fried, so there is no fryer oil to avoid.
