What the score is made of

Four categories, weighted. Seed oils count three times as much as plastics or ultra-processing, so a poor seed-oil score pulls the overall number down hardest.

  • Seed oil3× weight75
  • Additives2× weight50
  • Plastics0.5× weight
  • NOVA0.5× weight50

Plastics has no ratings yet and count as 0 toward the overall score — an unproven category isn’t a free pass.

What reviewers said

The only seed oil anywhere on everbowl's menu is the canola in their granola, which reaches 7 of the signature bowls and no smoothie at all, so skipping the granola gets you a clean bowl. The additives that do exist are almost all in bought-in dried fruit and shredded coconut rather than in the bases.

Rated 2026-08-28 from everbowl's own nutrition document, https://admin.everbowl.com/uploads/Nutritional_Information_Chart_091d1f7dec.pdf (320,992 bytes, 8 pages, marked "updated: 11/5/24"), linked from /nutritionals. Real text PDF, 34 ingredient blocks covering all 18 signature bowls and smoothies plus every base and topping; 9 of the 32 /nutritionals/<component> pages corroborate with inline statements. Seed oils: canola oil in the granola is the ONLY seed oil on the whole menu, in both published granola formulations. It reaches 8 items, 7 of them signature bowls, and no smoothie contains it. swap=yes: the granola is a topping and the bowl is clean without it. Two traps avoided deliberately: "sunflower lecithin" is an emulsifier, not an oil, and the coconut oil in the vanilla base is not a seed oil. Neither was counted. Additives: 6 items. One artificial colour menu-wide.
