Four of Donatos' five pizza doughs contain soybean, palm or canola oil, so seed oil is hard to avoid unless you order the cauliflower crust, and eight of nine dressings are soybean oil based. On additives they are better than most pizza chains, with no high fructose corn syrup anywhere and preservatives confined to the cured meats.
Donatos publishes 76 real component ingredient statements, dated July 2026, and 33 of them name a seed or vegetable oil. What decides this is the dough: four of the five doughs carry soybean, palm or canola, so almost any pizza you order has it. The 10 inch cauliflower crust is the only dough with no added oil of any kind. Eight of the nine dressings are soybean oil based, both ranches on a soybean oil mayonnaise, and the breadsticks use soybean plus sunflower. Additives are lighter than most pizza chains: no high fructose corn syrup anywhere, BHA and BHT in only the three cured meats, TBHQ in one item, MSG in the two ranches, titanium dioxide in one dressing. They do not publish a fryer oil at all despite selling wings, so that is unknown rather than clean.
