Cheddar's own allergen guide marks 38 of its 182 menu rows "Fried in Soybean Oil", including all the tenders, the fried shrimp, fish and chips and the fries. It publishes no ingredient statements, so additives and how premade the food is could not be scored.
Cheddar's publishes no ingredient statements at all - both its nutrition and allergen PDFs are calorie and allergen tables. But the allergen guide carries one column that is really an ingredient fact: "Fried in Soybean Oil", marked item by item. 38 of the 182 rows carry it, including all the chicken tenders, the beer-battered and coconut shrimp, fish and chips, french fries, onion rings, Wisconsin Cheese Bites, the Monte Cristo, both kids fried items and the Fried Apple Pie. 79 rows are marked grilled instead. So the fryer runs soybean oil and it touches about a fifth of the menu. I could not score additives or how premade the food is, because there are no ingredient lists to read. Worth knowing the brand invites this question - its FAQ asks you to call Guest Relations to have a recipe checked.
