161 of Applebee's 260 food components contain a seed oil and 151 contain an additive, and since both the beef patty and the bun it is served on list one, a standard burger here cannot avoid it.
Applebee's publishes ingredient statements for its menu through its own ingredient search, and the disclosure is not flattering. Of 260 food components, 161 contain a named seed oil and 151 contain an additive from our watchlist, the highest seed oil share of any chain in this batch. Both the 100% Beef Patty and the Brioche Bun it is served on list a seed oil, as does the Chicken Breast Patty, which carries an additive too, and the Chicken Tenders carry both. There is exactly one clean outlier, a single component listed as All-Beef Patty with neither, which suggests the burger formulation is not uniform across builds. Ordering here without a seed oil is not realistically possible.
